As veterinarians transition to an online telehealth platform, here are some great resources to keep in mind. Many clients are understandably reluctant to come to the office for a face-to-face consultation during the COVID-19 pandemic. And many veterinarians have set up great alternative methods for pets to still receive the care that they need. Practices are encouraged to prioritize and limit the patients in clinic to emergency needs only.

Telemedicine is part of this answer, and there are many products and companies that are ready to help vet clinics take on this challenge. Below is an excellent article by a vet and her view on the critical role that telemedicine will play during the pandemic of COVID-19.

Additionally, many telehealth companies are working with clinics to make this transition as smooth as possible. BabelBark has teamed up with telehealth provider, whiskerDocs, on a free 24-hour veterinary help hotline for triage. If clinics are overbooked or understaffed, this could be a great alternative for them to consider.
