Reflecting on VMX
The Veterinary Meeting and Expo, commonly known as VMX, was held from January 16th through January 19th in Orlando, Florida. Over 3,000 attendees gathered at the Orange County Convention Center to expand their knowledge and skillsets to better serve their patients. On the plane ride home, I spent time reflecting on my time at VMX and the opportunities that it presented.
Upbeat Atmosphere
After over a year of canceled events and virtual conferences, it was great to see so many passionate veterinarians out and about. VMX may not have been able to occur at full capacity, but the positive impact of being in person was felt by all attendees. The upbeat atmosphere made the meeting and expo enjoyable and energizing. Based on the atmosphere in the convention hall, you could tell that everyone was grateful to be together and was excited to grow their knowledge.
The New Connections
One of the best things about the 2022 Veterinary Meeting and Expo was building connections with others within the veterinary industry. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with others who share the same passion for the veterinary industry. Everyone who attended the conference was passionate about animal health and improving canine patient care. Even though we all shared the same passion, everyone had their own experiences and stories to share. Hearing these stories allowed me to gain a new perspective on the veterinary industry.
Product Promotion
Another highlight of VMX was sharing my passion for animal health through promoting the MeasureON! smart harness. The MeasureON! harness non-invasively measures canine vitals during critical periods, such as hospitalization and post-anesthesia. Since the innovative technology broadcasts the animal’s health metrics to your phone, tablet, or computer, the number of needed manual check-ins decreases. Not only does this decrease the stress level of the animal, but it also allows technicians to perform other tasks. Being able to share the benefits of MeasureON! with animal health advocates was one of the highlights of VMX
Partnering with Others
The best part of this business is being able to work with others. While at the Veterinary Meeting and Expo, I partnered up with Jorgensen Labs to represent VetMeasure. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with Jorgensen Labs and their incredible sales team. It was an honor to present alongside them throughout VMX.
I am also grateful for the opportunity to work with clinics across the nation to increase canine patient care within their practices. Currently, VetMeasure is working with 34 different veterinary practices to increase their efficiency and better care for their patients. And let me tell you, there is nothing more rewarding than working with people who have the same goals as you and are passionate about the same issues.
Overall VMX Reflection
The 2020 Veterinary Meeting and Expo, VMX, was a success due to the incredible opportunities it provided. I look forward to working with the friends and partners I met throughout the conference. And I cannot wait until we are all together again to share our passion for animal care and the veterinary industry at VMX 2023!
